Change The Font Size For The Type In Photoshop's Interface

If you find yourself squinting at your computer screen because the type in Photoshop's various palettes and panels is too small for you to read comfortably, you can easily change the font size. Here's an example of the font size set to "Small". Notice how the text in Photoshop's Layers palette can be a bit difficult to read due to its small size:

To change the font size for Photoshop's user interface, simply go up to the Edit (Win) / Photoshop (Mac) menu at the top of the screen, choose Preferences, and then choose General. You'll see an option near the top of the Preferences dialog box called UI Font Size. Simply select a different size from the menu. Here I've chosen the Large font size:

You'll need to close out of Photoshop and restart it for the change to take effect. Here's my Layers palette once again after changing the font size to Large. The text now appears much larger and easier to read:

Remember, you'll need to restart Photoshop for the change to take effect. And that's how to change the font size for the palettes and panels in Photoshop!
