To create the effect, we're going to be using some &quot;contours&quot; that we'll be loading in, since they're not readily available to us by default, but don't worry, loading them is easy, and so is everything else we'll be doing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both;\">Here's the effect we're going for:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" data-no-lazy=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/final-result.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: The final effect\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">The final result.<\/div>\n<div class=\"ads-middle\">\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<!-- 300x250 text effects middle responsive -->\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6601556224092982\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"8647141094\"\n     data-ad-format=\"rectangle\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Let's get started!<\/p>\n<aside><p class=\"members-ad-top\"><a href=\"\/print-ready-pdfs\/\">Download all of our Photoshop tutorials as PDFs!<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n<h4><span>Step 1:<\/span> Open A New Photoshop Document<\/h4>\n<p>The first thing we need to do is open a new document, so let's do that quickly using the keyboard shortcut, <strong>Ctrl+N<\/strong> (Win) \/ <strong>Command+N<\/strong> (Mac). This brings up Photoshop's New Document dialog box. Choose whichever size you like. I'm going to use the preset size of 640x480, as circled below:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/new-document-db.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Creating a new document in Photoshop\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Create a new Photoshop document.<\/div>\n<h4><span>Step 2:<\/span> Fill The Document With Black<\/h4>\n<p>Press the letter <strong>D<\/strong> on your keyboard to reset your Foreground and Background colors, so <strong>black<\/strong> becomes your Foreground color and <strong>white<\/strong> becomes your Background color. Then use the keyboard shortcut <strong>Alt+Backspace<\/strong> (Win) \/ <strong>Option+Delete<\/strong> (Mac) to fill your new document with the Foreground color, which in this case is black:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/fill-with-black.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: The new document is now filled with black.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Press \"Alt+Backspace\" (Win) \/ \"Option+Delete\" (Mac) to fill the new document with black.<\/div>\n<h4><span>Step 3:<\/span> Add Your Text To The Document<\/h4>\n<p>Grab your <strong>Type tool<\/strong> from the Tools palette, or press <strong>T<\/strong> to quickly access it with the keyboard shortcut:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/select-type-tool.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Selecting the Type tool from the Tools palette.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Select the Type tool from Photoshop's Tools palette.<\/div>\n<p>Then, with the Type tool selected, go up to the <strong>Options Bar<\/strong> at the top of the screen and select your font. I'm going to use Helvetica Rounded Black for mine. You can choose whichever font you like from the ones you have installed on your system. A larger, thicker font tends to work best for this effect:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/choose-font.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Choosing the font in the Options Bar.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Choose your font in the Options Bar.<\/div>\n<p>Press the letter <strong>X<\/strong> on your keyboard to swap your Foreground and Background colors, so <strong>white<\/strong> becomes your Foreground color. We're going to choose a better color for our text using Layer Styles, but for now, white will do just fine. Then, with your font chosen and white as your Foreground color, click inside your document and add your text. I'm going to type the word \"plastic\":<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/type-plastic.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Typing the word 'plastic' into the document.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click inside your Photoshop document and add your text.<\/div>\n<p>Resize your text as needed using Photoshop's <strong>Free Transform<\/strong> command by pressing <strong>Ctrl+T<\/strong> (Win) \/ <strong>Comand+T<\/strong> (Mac), which brings up the Free Transform box and handles around your text. Hold down <strong>Shift<\/strong> to constrain your text's proportions and drag any of the corner handles to resize the text. Hold down <strong>Alt<\/strong> (Win) \/ <strong>Option<\/strong> (Mac) as well as you drag to force the text to resize from its center point. Press <strong>Enter<\/strong> (Win) \/ <strong>Return<\/strong> (Mac) when you're happy with the size of your text to accept the change.<\/p>\n<h4><span>Step 4:<\/span> Choose A Color For Your Text Using The \"Color Overlay\" Layer Style<\/h4>\n<p>Now that we have our text added to the document, we're going to start creating our \"plastic\" effect, and the first thing we're going to do is choose a better color for it. With the  text layer selected, click on the <strong>Layer Styles<\/strong> icon at the bottom of the Layers palette:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/layer-style-icon.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking the 'Layer Styles' icon at the bottom of the Layers palette.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the \"Layer Styles\" icon at the bottom of the Layers palette.<\/div>\n<p>Choose <strong>Color Overlay<\/strong> from the list of Layer Styles that appears:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/color-overlay.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Selecting the 'Color Overlay' layer style.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Choose the \"Color Overlay\" Layer Style.<\/div>\n<p>This brings up the Layer Style dialog box set to the \"Color Overlay\" options in the middle column. Click on the <strong>color swatch<\/strong> to the right of the \"Blend Mode\" options to choose a new color for your text:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/color-overlay-color.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking the color swatch for the Color Overlay.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the color swatch to choose a new color for the text.<\/div>\n<p>This brings up Photoshop's <strong>Color Picker<\/strong>. I'm going to choose a light blue for my text color. Feel free to choose whichever color you prefer, but try to pick a lighter shade of the color:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/color-picker.jpg\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Photoshop's Color Picker.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Choose a color for your text using Photoshop's Color Picker.<\/div>\n<p>Click OK when you've chosen your color to exit out of the Color Picker. Your text will now appear in your chosen color in the document:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/text-blue.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: The text color has been changed to blue.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">The text now appears in the color you chose.<\/div>\n<p>I should note that we haven't <em>really<\/em> changed the color of the text here, even though it's now appearing in a different color. Technically, the text is still white. We've simply <em>overlayed<\/em> a new color onto it using the Color Overlay layer style. If we were to turn off the layer styles, which we won't but if we did, the text would appear white once again.<\/p>\n<h4><span>Step 5:<\/span> Add An Inner Shadow To The Text Using The \"Inner Glow\" Layer Style<\/h4>\n<p>Next, we're going to give our text more of a three-dimensional look by adding an inner shadow. Now, there <em>is<\/em> an actual \"Inner Shadow\" layer style, but we're not going to use it because it's limited to giving us a directional shadow. We want the text to appear to be surrounded by the shadow, so instead of using the ready-made inner shadow  that Photoshop gives us, we're going to create our own Inner Shadow layer style by converting the <strong>Inner Glow<\/strong> style into a shadow.<\/p>\n<p>To do that, click on the words <strong>Inner Glow<\/strong> in the list of Layer Styles on the left of the Layer Style dialog box. Make sure you click directly on the words. Don't simply click inside the checkbox because all that will do is turn on the effect. We want access to the effect's options, and for that, you need to click on the name itself:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/select-inner-glow.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking the words 'Inner Glow' in the list of Layer Styles.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the words \"Inner Glow\" on the left of the Layer Style dialog box.<\/div>\n<p>The middle column of the Layer Style dialog box will change to show the \"Inner Glow\" options:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/inner-glow-options.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: The 'Inner Glow' options.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">The \"Inner Glow\" options in the Layer Style dialog box.<\/div>\n<p>In order to change the \"inner glow\" to an \"inner shadow\", all we need to do is change the <strong>Blend Mode<\/strong> at the top. Click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of the word \"Screen\" and change the blend mode to <strong>Multiply<\/strong>. Our glow is now a shadow, or at least it will be a shadow once we select a darker color for it. The default yellow won't work very well as a shadow, so click on the <strong>color swatch<\/strong> directly below the word \"Noise\", which will bring Photoshop's Color Picker back up, and choose a much darker version of the color you chose for the text. I chose light blue for my text, so I'll choose a dark blue for the shadow. Lower the <strong>Opacity<\/strong> of the shadow to around <strong>50%<\/strong> so it's not as intense. Make sure <strong>Edge<\/strong> is selected for the <strong>Source<\/strong>, and finally, increase the <strong>Size<\/strong> of the shadow to about <strong>13 pixels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Your text will now look something like this:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/text-shadow-applied.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: The text after applying the inner shadow.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">The text after applying the inner shadow.<\/div>\n<h4><span>Step 6:<\/span> Apply The \"Bevel and Emboss\" Layer Style<\/h4>\n<p>Next, we're going to add a \"Bevel and Emboss\" effect to our text, so click directly on the words <strong>Bevel and Emboss<\/strong> in the list of Layer Styles on the left of the Layer Style dialog box. Again, make sure you click directly on the words and don't just click inside the checkbox:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/click-bevel-emboss.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking on the words 'Bevel and Emboss' in the Layer Style dialog box.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the words \"Bevel and Emboss\" on the left of the Layer Style dialog box.<\/div>\n<p>The middle column of the Layer Style dialog box will change to the Bevel and Emboss options. The first thing we want to do here is load a new \"Gloss Contour\", so go down to where it says \"Gloss Contour\" in the \"Shading\" options and click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of the contour preview thumbnail:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/contour-arrow.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking the down-pointing arrow beside the Contour preview thumbnail.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of the contour preview thumbnail.<\/div>\n<p>Then click on the right-pointing arrow in the top right corner of the contour selection box that pops up:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/contour-right-arrow.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking the right-pointing arrow in the top right corner of the contour selection box.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the right-pointing arrow in the top right corner of the contour selection box.<\/div>\n<p>Then select <strong>Contours<\/strong> at the bottom of the list that appears to load a new set of contours which are not available to us by default:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/select-contours.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Selecting 'Contours' from the bottom of the list.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Select \"Contours\" to load a new set of contours.<\/div>\n<p>Photoshop will ask you if you want to replace the original contours with these new ones or simply add the new ones to the bottom of the list. Click on <strong>Append<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/select-append.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking on 'Append' to append the new contours to the bottom of the original ones.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click \"Append\" to add the new contours to the bottom of the original ones.<\/div>\n<p>You'll see the new contours added to the bottom of the originals. To make things simpler for us, rather than me trying to describe the shape of the contour to click on, click once again on that right-pointing arrow in the top right corner and select <strong>Large List<\/strong> from the options so we can see both a thumbnail preview of the contour and the name of the contour beside each thumbnail:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/large-list.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking on 'Large List' from the options.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Select \"Large List\" from the options to see both the contour preview thumbnails and the names of each contour.<\/div>\n<p>Now that we can see the actual names of each contour, scroll down the list until you come to the one named <strong>Ring-Triple<\/strong> and double-click on it to select it:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/select-ring-triple.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Selecting the 'Ring-Triple' contour.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Double-click on the \"Ring-Triple\" contour to select it.<\/div>\n<p>With the \"Ring-Triple\" contour selected, let's change the rest of the Bevel and Emboss options:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/bevel-emboss-options.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: The Bevel and Emboss options.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Change the Bevel and Emboss options circled in red.<\/div>\n<p>These are the settings I used for my text. You may need to change them slightly depending on the font you're using and the size of your text. Starting from the top and working our way down, increase the <strong>Depth<\/strong> to around <strong>131%<\/strong> and the <strong>Size<\/strong> to around <strong>18 pixels<\/strong>.  In the \"Shading\" options, set the <strong>Angle<\/strong> to <strong>120\u00b0<\/strong> if it isn't already, and set the <strong>Altitude<\/strong> to <strong>60\u00b0<\/strong>. Make sure <strong>Anti-aliased<\/strong> is <strong>checked<\/strong> beside the contour preview thumbnail. Increase the <strong>Highlight Mode Opacity<\/strong> all the way to <strong>100%<\/strong>, and finally, lower the <strong>Shadow Mode Opacity<\/strong> down to <strong>0%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Your text should now look something like this:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/text-bevel-emboss.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: The text after applying the Bevel and Emboss layer style.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">The text after applying the Bevel and Emboss layer style.<\/div>\n<h4><span>Step 7:<\/span> Apply The \"Contour\" Layer Style<\/h4>\n<p>Click on the word <strong>Contour<\/strong> on the left of the Layer Style dialog box. It's directly below the words \"Bevel and Emboss\":<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/click-contour.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking on the word 'Contour' in the Layer Style dialog box.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the word \"Contour\" on the left of the Layer Style dialog box.<\/div>\n<p>The middle column of the Layer Style dialog box will change to the Contour options. We're going to use another contour from the ones we loaded in a moment ago. Click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of the contour preview thumbnail:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/contour-down-arrow.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking the down-pointing arrow beside the Contour preview thumbnail.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of the contour preview thumbnail.<\/div>\n<p>This time, scroll down the list until you come to the one named <strong>Shallow Slope-Valley<\/strong>. Double-click on it to select it:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/shallow-slope-valley.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Selecting the 'Shallow Slope-Valley' contour.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Scroll down the list to the \"Shallow Slope-Valley\" contour and double-click to select it.<\/div>\n<p>You can fine-tune the \"shiny\" effect to your liking by dragging the <strong>Range<\/strong> slider left or right until you're happy with the results. I'm to drag mine to the right and increase the Range to about 85%:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/range.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Increasing the Contour Radius value to 85%.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Fine-tune the effect by adjusting the \"Range\" value.<\/div>\n<p>Here's my text after adding the Contour layer style:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/text-contour.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: The text after applying the Contour layer style.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">The text after applying the Contour layer style.<\/div>\n<p>Click OK to exit out of the Layer Style dialog box for now.<\/p>\n<h4><span>Step 8:<\/span> Duplicate The Text Layer<\/h4>\n<p>Press <strong>Ctrl+J<\/strong> (Win) \/ <strong>Command+J<\/strong> (Mac) to duplicate the text layer, so you'll now have two text layers in the Layers palette:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/duplicate-layer.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: The Layers palette now showing two text layers.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Duplicate the text layer.<\/div>\n<p>Then click on the original text layer in the Layers palette to select it, so we're working once again on the original, not the duplicate text layer above it:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/click-original.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking on the original text layer in the Layers palette to select it once again.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the original text layer to select it once again.<\/div>\n<h4><span>Step 9:<\/span> Add A Stroke To The Text<\/h4>\n<p>With the original text layer re-selected, click once again on the <strong>Layer Style<\/strong> icon at the bottom of the Layers palette and this time, select <strong>Stroke<\/strong> at the bottom of the list:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/select-stroke.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Selecting 'Stroke' from the list of Layer Styles.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Select \"Stroke\" from the list of Layer Styles.<\/div>\n<p>The Layer Style dialog box pops back up, with the Stroke options in the middle column. First, increase the stroke <strong>Size<\/strong> to about <strong>6 pixels<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/stroke-size.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Increasing the Stroke size to 6 pixels.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Drag the slider bar to increase the stroke size.<\/div>\n<p>Then click on the stroke's <strong>color swatch<\/strong> to choose a new color for the stroke:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/stroke-color-swatch.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Clicking on the color swatch.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Click on the color swatch in the Stroke options.<\/div>\n<p>Photoshop's Color Picker pops back up. Rather than choosing a color directly in the Color Picker, move your mouse over the text. You'll see your mouse cursor change into the <strong>Eyedropper icon<\/strong>. We want to apply the Bevel and Emboss style to the stroke itself, so to do that, click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of the words \"Inner Bevel\" and change the <strong>Style<\/strong> to <strong>Stroke Emboss<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/stroke-emboss.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Changing the Style to 'Stroke Emboss'.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Change the Bevel and Emboss \"Style\" to \"Stroke Emboss\".<\/div>\n<p>We're almost done. Go back down to the &quot;Gloss Contour&quot; option and once again click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of the contour preview thumbnail. This time, scroll down the list until you come to the one named <strong>Shallow Slope-Valley<\/strong>. Double-click on it to select it:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/shallow-slope-valley.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Selecting the 'Shallow Slope-Valley' contour.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Scroll down the list to the \"Shallow Slope-Valley\" contour and double-click to select it.<\/div>\n<p>While you're down at the bottom of the Bevel and Emboss options, increase the <strong>Shadow Mode Opacity<\/strong> to about <strong>40%<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/type\/effects\/plastic\/shading-40.gif\" alt=\"Adobe Photoshop Text Effects: Increasing the Shadow Mode Opacity value to 40%.\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Increase the Shadow Mode Opacity to 40%.<\/div>\n<p>Finally, go back up to the top and lower the <strong>Depth<\/strong> value to about <strong>41%<\/strong>, then increase the <strong>Size<\/strong> by dragging the slider bar to the right until you can see the letter strokes merging together. I've increased mine to <strong>24 pixels<\/strong> Click OK when you're happy with the results to exit out of the Layer Style dialog box, and, you're done!
