This enables us to work on the blank layer we added.<\/p>\n<p>Ignore the <strong>Remove after each stroke<\/strong> option next to it because it doesn\u2019t work with the Find Distractions feature.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com\/photo-editing\/2024\/find-distractions-wires-cables\/sample-all-layers.png\" alt=\"The Sample all layers option.\" width=\"439\" height=\"129\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Turning on <q>Sample all layers<\/q>.<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"sub\">Step 5: Turn on generative AI<\/h2>\n<p>Still in the Options Bar, set the <strong>Mode<\/strong> (new in Photoshop 2025) to <strong>Generative AI On<\/strong>. This tells the Remove Tool to use Adobe Firefly to generate new image detail rather than trying to source the detail from other parts of the image. You can also set the Mode to <strong>Auto<\/strong> which does a good job of knowing when to use generative AI and when it\u2019s not needed.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com\/photo-editing\/2024\/find-distractions-wires-cables\/generative-ai-on.png\" alt=\"Turning on generative AI for the Remove Tool.\" width=\"450\" height=\"173\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Turning on generative AI for the Remove Tool.<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"sub\">Step 6: Click on Find Distractions and choose Wires and cables<\/h2>\n<p>Again in the Options Bar, click the new <strong>Find distractions<\/strong> button. Then choose <strong>Wires and cables<\/strong> from the list. I covered the <a href=\"\/photo-editing\/use-find-distractions-in-photoshop-to-instantly-remove-people-from-photos\/\" title=\"How to remove people with Find Distractions in Photoshop 2025\">People option<\/a> in the previous tutorial.<\/p>\n<p>Notice above Wires and Cables that it says <strong>One-click removal<\/strong>. That\u2019s because Photoshop is going to analyze the image, find any wires or cables and remove them as soon as you click the button.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com\/photo-editing\/2024\/find-distractions-wires-cables\/find-distractions-wires.png\" alt=\"The Find Distractions - Wires and Cables option for the Remove Tool\" width=\"329\" height=\"249\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Clicking Find distractions and choosing Wires and cables.<\/div>\n<p>Since we\u2019re using generative AI to remove the wires, Photoshop needs to connect to the Adobe Firefly servers over your internet connection. But as with any automatic feature, even one powered by generative AI, you may notice an issue with the results.<\/p>\n<p>With my image, there\u2019s now an obvious repeating pattern in one spot where the wires were removed.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com\/photo-editing\/2024\/find-distractions-wires-cables\/problem-area.jpg\" alt=\"Clicking the check mark.\" width=\"809\" height=\"459\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">A problem area that needs to be fixed.<\/div>\n<p>But no worries.
