In newer versions of Photoshop, the Soft Round brush is found in the General Brushes category.<\/p>\n<p>Press <strong>Enter<\/strong> (Win) \/ <strong>Return<\/strong> (Mac) to close the Brush Preset Picker.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com\/photo-editing\/2024\/brighten-eyes\/select-soft-round-brush.jpg\" alt=\"Choosing the Soft Round brush in Photoshop\" width=\"330\" height=\"412\" \/>\n<div class=\"image-desc\">Choosing the Soft Round brush.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"\/basics\/photoshops-brush-tool-fixed-in-latest-update\/\" title=\"Photoshop Brush Tool fixed in latest update\">Photoshop's Brush Tool is now fixed!<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"sub\">Step 4: Set your brush color to white<\/h2>\n<p>Make sure your <strong>Foreground color<\/strong> (which is also the brush color) is set to <strong>white<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>If it\u2019s set to a different color, press the letter <strong>D<\/strong> on your keyboard to reset the Foreground and Background colors to their defaults (black for the Foreground and white for the Background). Then press <strong>X<\/strong> on your keyboard to swap them.<\/p>\n<p>The current Foreground and Background colors are shown in the <strong>color swatches<\/strong> in the toolbar.
