Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
The Digital Photographer's New Best Friend
It's out, it's official, it's here, and it's being hailed as the greatest thing for photographers since Photoshop itself. It's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, the brand new software program from Adobe that's sure to make any digital photographer's life a whole lot easier.
What is Photoshop Lightroom?
Technically speaking, Photoshop Lightroom ("Lightroom" for short) is a modular-based database and image processor, but don't let that scare you off. To put it simply, think of Lightroom as Adobe Bridge and Camera Raw rolled into one, with even more features and abilities added in, and all wrapped up in a slick, streamlined application that's geared specifically to photographers and the workflow that a digital photographer would normally use. In fact, thanks to Adobe's recent beta program, they received input from thousands of photographers as they were developing Lightroom, to make sure that the end result was everything photographers were asking for.
In our first video (below), we take a look at the new interface of Photoshop Lightroom, seeing what and where everything is on the screen. We hope you enjoy it, and there's many more videos to come!
